Current Advice

Jan 20, 2010

To help the victims of the Haiti earthquake, Rinpoche advised:

1. For those who have died – it is very beneficial to recite the 5 powerful mantras, especially Mitrugpa mantra

2. For those who are still alive and suffering so much in so many ways – it is very beneficial to recite the Sanghatasutra, and to dedicate for those who have died as well.

3. Doing Medicine Buddha Puja is also very good for those who are alive and those who have passed away. Make strong prayers to Medicine Buddha for those who are still alive, for all their needs to be realized as soon as possible.

His suggestions above are additional to Rinpoche's existing advice on how the centers and students can benefit those who suffer in the aftermath of natural disasters.
