Ven Nerea Basurto was born in Spain in 1957. She is the translator and interpreter of HH the Dalai Lama, Lama Zopa Rinpoche and many other lamas. Ven Nerea was ordained in 2002 and after graduating from the first FPMT Masters Program of Buddhist Studies at Istituto Lama Tsong Khapa and doing the retreat, she worked for the Spanish FPMT National Office as Education and Translation Service Coordinator. In January 2008 she became the resident teacher of O Sel Ling Centro de Retiros.
