The FPMT Puja Fund

For the benefit of all beings, Lama Zopa Rinpoche sponsors regular prayer ceremonies (pujas) at the major Gelugpa monasteries in India and Nepal. Pujas are very powerful in clearing away obstacles and bringing success in one’s life and spiritual practice. Lama Zopa Rinpoche feels that pujas are vital for harmony within the FPMT and attributes much of the organization’s collective success to the pujas sponsored thus far. It is for this reason that Rinpoche has personally been funding pujas for more than 12 years at an annual cost of $25,000. Rinpoche has determined which pujas should be done as well as the most beneficial monastery or nunnery to perform them, making these pujas exceptionally powerful. In addition to the pujas performed consistently on auspicious days throughout the year, Rinpoche also organizes special pujas for specific events, obstacles at centers and for individual students.

These pujas always include Lama Zopa Rinpoche’s own dedication prayers for world peace, the long and stable life of His Holiness the Dalai Lama and the fulfillment of all His wishes, and towards removing all obstacles to benefactors and students and all the FPMT Dharma activities including projects such as the Maitreya Statue.

In addition to the benefit received by FPMT projects, centers, benefactors and students, the monasteries also benefit as performing pujas provides essential financial support for the Sangha.
From Rinpoche’s dedication:

May the precious mind of loving kindness, compassion and Bodhicitta be generated in the minds of all beings immediately. May all the FPMT projects pacify war, famine, sickness, quarreling, fighting, and harm from the four elements, thereby may all beings always enjoy perfect peace, happiness and prosperity.

The Puja Fund covers other virtuous activities like monthly offerings to the Boudha Stupa in Nepal which includes offering sacred banners, painting and offering saffron water (the yellow flower shape on the dome).
A puja performed with His Holiness the Dalai Lama at Rajagriha. The Puja Fund also covers offerings to Rinpoche's gurus on holy days and the annual offering of robes to all FPMT geshes and resident teachers.

Please take advantage of this precious opportunity to support the work of our teacher. By offering any amount along with your own prayers, not only do you support Rinpoche’s vision, you also create the cause for your own success on the spiritual path.
