Overseeing all of the projects is FPMT International Office, which is responsible for coordinating the vast efforts of the ever-growing FPMT organization, which is making Lama Zopa Rinpoche's vision a reality.

FPMT International Office is Lama Zopa Rinpoche's office and supports all of Rinpoche's activities. Donations to FPMT's increasing number of charitable projects around the world are processed and distributed through International Office. Education Services develops and supports FPMT Standard Educational programs such as Discovering Buddhism and the new Basic Program Homestudy correspondence course, plus prayer and practice material. Center Services is the liaison between Lama Zopa Rinpoche and FPMT's centers, study groups and projects in countries and helps centers in their development. The Foundation Store is the distribution center for education materials and Dharma practice items. Mandala Magazine is published by International Office and distributed in many countries. The FPMT website makes Rinpoche's message available 24/7 around the world, and provides a Members Area for FPMT centers and projects. The Development Department fundraises for Rinpoche's International Office to enable the Office to continue to support the active development of Rinpoche's vision in the expanding organization.

FPMT International Office relocated in January 2006 to Portland, Oregon, USA, and occupies a newly renovated building that provides office and meeting space for the International Office team. The building includes a large Gompa and currently offers a home for Maitripa Institute, an FPMT center, which is moving towards full university accreditation in the USA.
