Nagarjuna Statue

It is explained by Buddha in the Sutra of the Mudra of Developing the Power of Devotion:

The minute you see a holy object you create infinite merits, So no question, if you actually make prostrations, Offerings and so forth, you create far greater merit.
One of the best ways you can use and enjoy your life is by supporting the building of holy objects.
–Lama Zopa Rinpoche

In 2009 Ven.Roger Kunsang received advice that it would be beneficial to build a 14-foot high statue of Nagarjuna in Bodh Gaya, India.

This statue is to be dedicated for the long, healthy and stable life of Lama Zopa Rinpoche, and for the immediate removal of any obstacle to the accomplishment of His holy wishes.

The Nagarjuna statue will be made from the highest quality white marble and will be sited on the Maitreya Project land in Bodh Gaya, India.

The cost of this project is $38,000

Due to the kindness of many centers and students around the world we have raised so far $17,000 for the statue.
