Center Support Fund

International Office offers support for all FPMT centers, projects, and services worldwide. FPMT centers, projects and services help their local communities through Dharma education, hospice services, health care, essential education schools, helping prisoners, and publishing books. The following are some specific ways in which International Office provides center support:

Center Services director Claire Isitt shows Lama Zopa Rinpoche a map of all the FPMT centers in the world.

NEWS AND ADVICE FROM RINPOCHE

Students are kept up-to-date with Lama Zopa Rinpoche’s advice via the FPMT eNews, distributed to over 10,000 people; Rinpoche’s homepage; and Rinpoche’s key advice, which is kept on the homepage and in the FPMT Members’ Area. Our companion office in California coordinates Rinpoche’s advice and makes arrangements for Rinpoche's travel.

FORMATION OF CENTERS & STUDY GROUPS

We help new FPMT study groups, formed with Lama Zopa Rinpoche’s blessing, to begin and provide them with the FPMT Study Group Start Up Kit and ongoing guidelines and support.

SUPPORT FOR RESIDENT TEACHERS, DIRECTORS, SPIRITUAL PROGRAM COORDINATORS, & REGIONAL & NATIONAL COORDINATORS

We support all new center directors, resident teachers and spiritual program coordinators with relevant guidelines, packs and support in a variety of ways.

MATERIALS & RESOURCES

The organization’s essential reference tool is The FPMT Handbook, also a product of International Office. FPMT Directories are kept up-to-date in Mandala Magazine and on the FPMT website. International Office, together with Tushita Meditation Centre in Dharamsala facilitates FPMT’s Prayers for the Dead service.
