Windows Instructions After the image loads, right-mouse-click on it and select SAVE IMAGE AS and save this file to your Windows or WinNT directory with the same file name, but select BMP (Bitmap) as the file type.To display the image on your computer after you have saved it, right-mouse-click on the desktop, select PROPERTIES and select the image from the list that appears. OR you may simply select SET AS WALLPAPER and the image will be saved to your computer and displayed for you. If you choose this method, the file will be saved and displayed, but if you repeat this process with another image from the web, then the first image will be replaced and lost. You will then be able to choose whether to TILE (arrange images side-by-side and top-to-bottom), CENTER or STRETCH (to make a smaller image fill the entire screen). In some cases, the background color is defined. You can create that color in the same menu by selecting APPEARANCE and then DESKTOP COLOR — you will need to define it as a custom color within the "Other" listing. Creating wallpaper on a Mac (OS 8.6, OS 9). Click and hold over the picture that you want to use. A menu will appear, choose Save This Image as Save it (easiest to use the name already given) and put it on the desktop (easy to find). Go to Control Panels, Appearance. Select the Desktop tab. Click on the Place Picture button. (If there is already a picture on the desktop you will have to click on Remove Picture first). Navigate to the picture. Click on Choose. Try the different choices for placement and the click on Set Desktop. Close Appearances.
