Rinpoche's Advice for FPMT Hospice Services
Advice for FPMT Hospice Services
Lama Zopa Rinpoche has given the following advice specifically for FPMT Hospice Services:
- FPMT Hospice Services Should be Buddhist(2004)
- Advice for Hospices, Clinics, and Taking Care of the Dying (2005)
- Importance of the Hospice Service Name (2012)
Rinpoche’s suggestion is to have the name of a Buddha in the name of the hospice service so that people dying at the hospice (or under the care of the hospice service) can think that they are in this Buddha's pure land, and think "I am being taken care of by (Buddha’s name) Pure land” - as having this thought is very good when you die.
